Natural Methods To Get Well From Headaches And Migraines
No More Medicines - Use Natural Ways To Treat Headaches
Getting rid of headaches or migraines in a natural way can feel like a tough job, I often ask myself, “James, how can you treat this pain without using medicine or going to the doctor?”.
To answer my own question and understand myself, I talked to some traditional men and doctors and did my own research online just to find a way to fix headaches and migraines. I gathered some helpful tricks and tips that worked for me, and I want to share the simple steps I followed with you.
Water And Sleep Tips That Worked For Me
A known traditional man in my community once told me during my research that the first thing to do when you have a headache is to drink a lot of water and get enough sleep. I asked him if such simple steps would really help. He responded by asking if I had tried them and if they didn’t work for me. I told him no, I hadn’t tried it yet. He then said, “Go and give it a try next time you have a headache. Come back and tell me what happened.
I tried the old traditional old man’s method weeks later when I had a migraine, and it worked really well. I went back to the old man to send my thanks and give him a small gift. This method is simple, but it helped me, and I’m sure it will help you too when you need it.
Hot Warm Water Procedure
I want to share with you another step that has no side effects, This step is about soaking your feet in hot water. The heat will open up the blood vessels in your feet, which helps pull blood away from your head. This method can ease the pressure on the blood vessels and reduce your migraine or headache.
My neighbor’s mom showed me how to do this procedure, and later I found it online while researching. I tried it with my mom, and it really helped her.
Head Hanging Method
Another great and simple tip I want to share with you is to lie down on your bed with your head hanging down. Try to stay in that same position for about two minutes. You should do this 4 to 5 a day depending on your business.
You can also try and use a pillow to help keep your head in a straight line while you lie down to rest to relieve your pain. This can make your neck more steady and comfortable. Moving or turning your head too much while you sleep can make your headache worse, as my grandma taught me.
Applying The Ice Pack Method
Some headaches take a long time to go away, and some mostly come from the back of our heads. A great way to help with this pain is to use an ice pack, as instructed by my grandfather. Just wrap it in a towel and place it on the back of your head for 15 to 18 minutes. You can hold it there, this will help make the blood vessels smaller and relieve the pressure on your nerves, so your pain will feel better.
Steps 2
If you want to feel better and great from headaches and migraines, you can try out this simple method. Take a medium bowl and fill it with cold water and ice. Let it get nice and cold. Then, put your hands in the icy water. You have to keep your hands there for a few minutes. If it feels too cold, it’s okay to take your hands out for a bit.
This method will help tighten the blood vessels in your hands. This process will send a message to your brain to reduce the pressure that causes headaches and migraines.
Feel free to use any of the natural methods I’ve shared in this educational article when you or a friend have a headache or migraine. These methods are safe and come from nature, so they can help without any harm.
