Steps In Preparing Coconut Rice
First, she washed and chopped the onions, and set them aside. Next, she handled the habanero pepper the same way, by washing and chopping it before putting it aside as well. After that, she blended the coconut and strained it to extract the milk, which she also set aside. To start cooking Sandra heat the coconut oil in a pan over the stove. Once hot, she added the chopped onions and sauteed them for a few minutes. Shortly after, she adds her secret ingredient, the green marinade, to elevate the dish to a different level. She stirs and makes sure that the coconut oil, onions, and habanero pepper are blended together perfectly.
Adding Turmeric And Other Special Ingredients
She then stirs the mixture for about a minute and adds the turmeric; remember it is for the color. To perfectly enhance the turmeric’s flavor, she includes black pepper.
